- The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in Karachi today and tomorrow. The city has already experienced three spells of heavy monsoon rain in August.
- A woman in Rawalpindi reportedly stabbed her two daughters after her husband forbade her from visiting her mother’s home. The mother also drank acid and tried to die by suicide. The police have detained her and registered an FIR against her on the father’s complaint.
- The Sindh Wildlife Department has taken the custody of five big cats that were illegally kept at a farmhouse in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Muazzam.
- Prime Minister Imran Khan has thanked the nation for its constant support and helping his government overcome difficult and challenging times.
- An FIR has been lodged against actor Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed over their shoot for the singer’s latest music video Qabool at Wazir Khan Mosque.
- President Dr Arif Alvi has conferred Pakistan’s civil awards to 184 Pakistanis and foreigners in recognition of their services to Pakistan and showing excellence in their respective fields.
- A gritty half-century by Mohammad Rizwan has kept England at bay against Pakistan in the second Test in Southampton. Pakistan were 233-9 when bad light stopped play on day two.
